Last night we had a church "Salsafest" or "Salsa Party." I have to admit, I was a little nervous to go last night because we were going to learn how to dance the Salsa, but at the same time, Norwegians are generally not inclined to dance very much, so I knew that we were all in the same crowd!
But it was an incredibly FUN time! There were 50 people in all including ten kids from the youth group (what a good turn out!) The youth had such a good time that they want to teach everyone at the big youth gathering in November how to salsa. I learned how to salsa, and by the end of the night could spin and do the ground steps. It was a lot of fun and more importantly a time to build unity within the church. In fact, one of our church council members was going all crazy and being goofy -- a side I´ve never seen in him before! ha ha
Today I visited with some friends that are Romanian who are aupairs. We had a cup of tea together. Now I am back home getting ready to put together my teaching for tomorrow. It´s raining outside and gloomy... not so much motivation to get my teaching done, but at the same time, I don´t want to be outside in the rain and cold weather.
Soooo that´s that! Will write again soon.
